Riccardo Zema is a 26-year-old digital artist and animator from Faenza, Italy, specializing in the emerging discipline of pixel art.
Riccardo's interest in pixel art began in his childhood, soon after receiving his first computer: the much-loved Commodore 64 system, with its intricate rasterized graphics. Riccardo went on to study 2D and 3D artwork, first as a hobby and later as his profession.
Riccardo has a unique sensibility, combining the playful, cartoony pixel art style with sometimes dark science-fiction themes. In his words, "I like the idea of a dystopian world populated by rusty robots and weird characters of any kind."
